- Year 2005
In 2005 the faculty was assessed by the International Conference of Deans of French Expression. In 2014 the self-evaluation report was drawn up according to the FMIM standards.
- Year 1992
During 1992-2004 the faculty was headed up by the distinguished professor N. Eşanu, who was a great patriot of the nation. It was N. Eşanu who initiated great changes in reforming the training process methodology as well as development of educational standards.Since 2005 the faculty has been headed up by associate professor Gh. Plăcintă.
- Year 1986
From 1986 to 1991 the great and eminent educator Peter Galeţchii headed up the clinical faculty. He was a teacher of great reformatory didactic views, renowned professor and vice-rector responsible for the training process. Between 1986 and 1991 the preclinical faculty was headed up by the skillful pedagogue, clinician and professor I. Marin.Thanks to reforms, since 1992 the faculty has been reinstated.
- Year 1971
From 1971 to 1982 the faculty was headed up by professor E. Muhin and associate professor A. Banaru. In August 1982 Faculties of Medicine I and II were set up, being conducted by the aforementioned deans.
- Year 1968
Thanks to the increasing number of students and teaching staff, since 1968 the faculty has been divided into: general preclinical medicine (1st-3rd yrs) conducted by the dean, associate professor E. Floca (1968-1971) and general clinical medicine (4th –6th yrs) conducted by I. Vovc (1968-1971).
- Year 1947
Between 1947 and 1959 the faculty activity was conducted by professor M. Borzov, being followed by associate professors C.Ţîbîrnă (1959-1963), G. Moskovko (1963-1964), I. Vovc (1964-1968) – representatives of the first graduates of the faculty.
- Year 1945
The history of the Faculty of Medicine dates back to the middle of the XXth century. In October 1945 Institute of Medicine No. 2 was transferred from Sankt Petersburg. At the time of its foundation the Faculty represented the base of the Institute and included 250 students (1st –5th years) and 27 departments conducted by the renowned scholars: A. Lavrentiev, F. Agheicenco, A. Zubcov, N. Kuznetsov, N. Starostenco, M. Ghehtman, S. Rubaşov, A. Cramer, A. Lviv, Blinchin S., I. Curlov and others.Professor A. Lviv (1947-1959) was the first dean of the Faculty.
